| Day 2 | Calgary - Banff | Calgary - Banff : Enjoy a short tour of Calgary before heading into the great Canadian Rockies and world-famous Banff National Park. We explore Banff's surrounding areas and view the odd-shaped "hoodoos" standing guard over the Bow River Valley and Bow Falls. Look out for wildlife such as elk and bears. This afternoon is free to explore the quaint town of Banff on your own. (Full Breakfast) Hotel: Banff Park Lodge |
| Day 3 | Banff - Lake Louise - Icefields Parkway - Jasper (2 nights) | Banff - Lake Louise - Icefields Parkway - Jasper (2 nights) : We visit Lake Louise, an amazing scenic mountain setting. Learn about the geography and history of the area on a narrated walk along the lakeshore. On to the Icefields Parkway, one of the world's most spectacular drives with towering snow-capped peaks, azure lakes, thundering waterfalls, hanging glaciers and abundant wildlife. At the Columbia Icefield, we board an Ice Explorer for a unique ride on the enormous Athabasca Glacier. We then arrive at Jasper. Tonight enjoy a wildlife presentation after dinner. | Day 5 | Jasper - Mount Robson - Prince George | Jasper - Mount Robson - Prince George : We start the day with a narrated walk along Maligne Canyon, one of the Canadian Rockies' most beautiful gorges with spectacular rock formations and waterfalls. We then head west and stop at Mount Robson Provincial Park and enjoy views of Mount Robson, the tallest peak in the Rockies. We continue on through the picturesque Caribou Mountains to the logging and lumber town of Prince George. (Full Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Ramada Prince George |
| Day 6 | Prince George - The Skeena train - Prince Rupert (2 nights) | Prince George - The Skeena train - Prince Rupert (2 nights) : Today we travel on board The Skeena, one of the most unforgettable train journeys on earth and perhaps one of Canada's best-kept secrets! Relax and enjoy Totem Deluxe class service with reserved seating in the fully glass-enclosed Panorama Car, and breakfast, lunch and dinner served on board. Keep an eye out for wildlife and marvel at the remote landscapes. We arrive at the quaint fishing town of Prince Rupert in the early evening and transfer to our hotel for a two-night stay in guaranteed harbor-view rooms. | Day 7 | Prince Rupert sightseeing & at leisure | Prince Rupert sightseeing & at leisure : We start the day with a guided tour of the unique Museum of Northern BC. Learn about the many diverse aspects of First Nations culture and history as we explore the various exhibits and enjoy a performance of First Nations dances. Next, we are taken on a guided walking tour around the city, viewing the totem poles of Prince Rupert and learning of their significance to the aborigines. The rest of the day is at leisure. | Day 8 | Prince Rupert - Inside Passage cruise - Port Hardy | Prince Rupert - Inside Passage cruise - Port Hardy : We board the Northern Expedition ferry for one of the world's most awe-inspiring voyages as we cruise down the famous Inside Passage. Relax and enjoy the scenic grandeur of this area, as we sail through narrow passages, past thousands of islands, towering mountains, deep green carpets of coastal rainforest and possibly spot eagles, bear, porpoise and the famous orca killer whale. | Day 9 | Port Hardy - Parksville | Port Hardy - Parksville : Today our Tour Director reveals a Hidden Treasure! We journey south across beautiful Vancouver Island, renowned for its stunning ocean scenery, dense rainforests, culture and abundant wildlife. We stop at Cathedral Grove for a walk through a forest of 800-year-old trees, towering majestically into the sky. Continuing south, we arrive at our beachfront hotel in Parksville, a popular summer destination. (Full Breakfast / Dinner) Hotel: Quality Resort Bayside |
| Day 10 | Parksville - Victoria (2 nights) | Parksville - Victoria (2 nights) : We visit Chemainus, a quaint seaside town known for its murals depicting the area's history. Next we enjoy a winery tour and wine tasting in the Cowichan Valley before we arrive in Victoria. Here, an orientation tour introduces us to the beautiful Inner Harbour, the ornate Parliament Buildings, Thunderbird Park and Bastion Square. The rest of the day is at leisure in Victoria. | Day 11 | Victoria | Victoria sightseeing & at leisure : This morning breakfast is hosted by a horticulturist at the flower-filled conservatory of the Blue Poppy Restaurant at the world-famous Butchart Gardens. There is time to explore the spectacular gardens. The rest of the day is leisure in Victoria. Tonight join us for a Farewell Dinner served at a local speciality restaurant. | Day 12 | Victoria - Depart Vancouver | Victoria - Depart Vancouver : We cross the Strait of Georgia by ferry and head for Vancouver where a complimentary transfer is provided to Vancouver International Airport and the Trafalgar hotel in Vancouver.
